Professor can you help me with this problem.When we did an example like this in class you said that to find part d, we just use the formula h=-b/2a,and solve and that’s our answer. But i did this and I got 1.6 and it tells me that my answer is wrong.
For part (b) we use the formula h=-b/(2a) and we find the price that maximized the profit. For part (d) you use the function from part (c). In your case P(x-1). This is the same function as before shifted to the right by 1. So, the price that maximized the profit also is shifted to the right by 1 and it becomes 1.6+1=2.6. Does this help?
